About The Garden House

Amy, a native Virginian, is the creative force and lead designer behind The Garden House, (located in Northern Virginia) wedding florist known for lush, garden-inspired floral design and a deeply personal, full-service experience.
With a background in counseling and a love of nature, Amy believes flowers are more than a decor element of your wedding day — they are a language. They express feeling, set atmosphere, and shape how a wedding day is experienced and remembered. As such, TGH's work is rooted in understanding each couple’s vision, then translating it into immersive, cohesive floral environments that feel effortless, abundant, and emotionally resonant.
As a full-service wedding floral designer, Amy leads clients through a thoughtful and guided process, ensuring every floral decision supports the overall aesthetic of the day — from color palette and dress tones to candlelight, linens, and venue setting. Her couples trust her not just for beautiful flowers, but for clarity, direction, and the confidence that every detail is handled with expertise and intention.
Seasonality is at the heart of The Garden House design philosophy. Amy also grows flowers herself (giving her a depth of understanding of seasonal availability), and prioritizes sourcing from local growers whenever possible, creating organic, seasonal wedding florals in Northern Virginia that feel natural, textural, and deeply connected to place.
On event days, Amy is supported by a trusted and highly experienced team who bring each installation to life with care and precision — ensuring the final result feels abundant, polished, and unforgettable.
She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and four daughters, and continues to be inspired daily by the beauty, rhythm, and romance found in the natural world.
